Business Card

Viscomm Week07

I made four versions of my business card. Since the title is “animator”,i created some graphics in illustrator and applied them on the cards.

BUBBLES

the inspiration of this one comes from the short flash animation that i made for one of my favorite fashion brands Tsumori Chisato. (and secretly wish they would see it and hire me) The abstract bubbles are light and are floating up along the lines, indicate a feeling of free spirit and creative.

feedback: to much on the graphic, looks like the text, which is the most important info of a business card, were just put where they could fit in.

Abstract

I was honestly just had fun with this one. anyway, graphic and lines are really fun to play with~

Face

I tried to really focus on the idea of letting people to know this is an animator’s business card without reading the text carefully. and i always love to draw girls’ face with simple but elegant lines with brush tool in flash. so in this one, i drew a girls face with her eye closed. I didn’t draw her vertical because i don’t want the face to be to obvious. I like the idea that people have to sort of find it out themselves. nice little surprise~

but somehow, that line next to my name reminds me of Dove…

Fishy

This is the first one i designed and also my favorite one. it looks animated to me. and i like the fact that my name is presented in a bubble~

feedback: compared to the fish, the bubble lines looks messy and childish. the texts need to draw more attention, either bigger font, or adjust location. try some color.

Week08

cleaned the bubble, changed the font and played with color!

I really like how these color on my card!!! totally inspired by Fears of the Dark poster.

i also tried light green. still some of the class thought this color looks a little bit childish. but i like both actually. the second one looks more like a friendly animator, while the first one is a darker animator who would make quirky animations.
