My initial idea for my thesis was to do a series of animation dedicated to several friends of mine who were born in February, March and April. It started with a conversation online between me and “February”, who at that time had a story for an animation and hoped that i could make it for her. However during the process of developing the story, it became more and more a story for...

I’ve been working on an animatic while shooting final footages. not much time left but i think it’ll really help. The old flower friend is tiny, weak and lack of personality,so i made a new one instead who will be there to seduce our little girl, a germ like flower grows inside of us.

Inspired by “Ballerina di 14 anni” by Edgar Degas, our ballerina has come to life on multiple layers of gauze/tulle. The fabric is inspired by the softness of the ballerina’s skirt, and with multiple sheer sheets, capturing the various...
the frame by frame book
I volunteered to make a small book for the coming ITP winter show. The book should include the images and descriptions of everyone’s video or animation work from the frame by frame class. And it will be placed by the show booth, so the audiences could get a better idea of the show pieces.
I think I become more confident about my graphic design skills after visual communication class, and...

info design
I counted the steps it took to walk from my apartment, room 445 and the delicious panya bakery to the ITP videolab, at which I spend more time than at home… well, anyway, the numbers are 975, 38 and 564. Assuming that each step equals to one frame, I made short clips of three runners with 975, 38 and 564 frames, which means they are 32 seconds,...

I made four versions of my business card. Since the title is “animator”,i created some graphics in illustrator and applied them on the cards.

Watercolor, Wine
I’ve been in love with the effect of dripping water color in to wineglass full of hot water and take photo of them~some truly stunning and magical colors and shapes!
and I used one footage of that on my winter show project brainstorming as well. the flow of the watercolor went perfect with dancer’s elegant gesture.

i think this is a good idea to have a video storyboard. it’s easier to present on class this way and see how the audio will go with the story.

my first clay stop motion
the making of anna - her body parts~~~
hours were spent on her tiny little hands.
the first anna was too tall and skinny, it was impossible for her to stand up and dance…so i made an anna version two. you can see both of them in the animation.
